Hi! It’s Romain, developer of DYOR.net! Since the beginning of November, DYOR.net has been evolving. My aim is to incorporate a wealth of feedback and suggestions received since the last major update in April. Numerous enhancements have been made since April, and a new, even more significant wave of updates began this November, designed to closely align with your needs.
Here are the improvements made since early November:
✅ New front website
✅ Improvements on UI/UX
✅ New light theme
✅ Blog released
✅ Fixed several bugs
The presentation site needed a redesign to be more welcoming and better showcase features to new visitors. It has also been optimized for search engine visibility, although further efforts will be needed in this area.
Several enhancements have been made to the user interface: the asset search engine is now positioned on the sidebar at the top of the main menu to avoid confusion with the search filters present across all features. This also allows more content to be displayed on the screen, especially on desktops. The main menu has been compacted to make each element more accessible.
A light theme has been introduced. It complements the new, more welcoming, and clearer presentation site. I wanted the experience to be consistent, including after registration, by proposing the light theme as the default. It enhances the visibility of all features, and the interface seems a bit more comprehensible when first discovered. Of course, I know many of you are attached to the dark theme, so it is still available from the main menu!
This blog has also been launched. The goal is to keep you informed about new features, as I am doing here. But the main purpose is for it to serve as a platform for tutorials that will be published soon. Various content related to trading and cryptocurrencies will also be featured on this blog.
Finally, some bugs that could impair your user experience have been fixed.
Next steps:
There are three main objectives for the coming weeks.
Enhancement of charts (done!) : Since the release of the new version, I know many of you miss the old version of the charts, which allowed loading chartist figures, trendlines, divergences, and horizontal levels simultaneously. Do not worry: I have heard you, and this functionality will soon be back!
Release of a mobile app (done!): The idea is to provide you with an alternative to Telegram for receiving your alert results, whether for your strategies or for Cointracker notifications. A mobile app will allow you to be notified of new results and to consult these results even more comfortably than with Telegram, which imposes limitations, including on the number of hyperlinks in the message body. This app will also allow you to configure alerts for the “pumping now” feature in a later phase. The goal is to offer this app on Android and iOS, as well as a web version. More information will be provaided soon.
Writing tutorials (done here, and here): Many of you have requested tutorials on how to use the site, how to read the results of the trendscanner, how to create strategies, receive alerts… These tutorials will soon be available on this blog!
What next?
Numerous other improvements will be made continuously. I have a todo list overflowing with ideas for enhancements and developments. One of the priorities will be to offer “built-in” strategies to help you get the most out of this functionality. I would also like to introduce other indicators, such as Fibonacci retracements, or further improve the detection of chart patterns and add new ones. In short, DYOR.net will be constantly evolving over the coming months.
Once the first phase is completed (improvement of charts, creation of a mobile app, publication of tutorials), the “Legacy” site will be permanently closed. Indeed, it is no longer maintained and its upkeep will no longer be justified. Its closure is expected to occur in early January 2025.
That’s the news! I hope you are pleased to hear them, that the changes already implemented satisfy you, and that those to come will delight you even more!
I warmly thank you for your support, and for being loyal to DYOR.net. That’s why, while these developments are being implemented, the prices of the packs have been reduced until the end of the year. The 30-day pack is now $15 instead of $10, the 120-day pack is $38 instead of $48, and the 360-day pack is $70 instead of $90! Do not hesitate to take advantage of this opportunity to stock up on premium days!
See you soon!
Romain
